2010 Chairman’s Message
Welcome to the Southside Business Men’s Club, an organization whose men and women are an exciting, dynamic and vibrant group of professionals. It is my honor and privilege to serve as Chairman of the Board of Governor’s for 2010. My goal is to make your membership as rewarding as possible.
Our organization is one that
- strives to embrace the big picture - engaged and relevant in
the political and economic issues that affect our businesses today,
- an outlet for civic and social giving and,
- provides a venue for business networking.
We are committed to improving the quality of life in Jacksonville and the
Southside. And we do this in a fun and enjoyable networking environment at the
most affordable price in town!
This is our 78th year of serving the Jacksonville community. I would
like to urge each member and candidate for membership not only to participate in
Club activities but to serve with passion. If there is any single piece of
advice I could offer to any individual considering membership in our
organization it would be this: you will get out of this group what you give to
it.
Take a few moments to review the Club’s history. There are many places and
events in the Jacksonville community that exist due to the direct contributions
of our organization. And there are many ways you can get involved, including
some we haven’t even thought of yet! If you do this, you will find friendship
and camaraderie almost overnight!
Please be sure to introduce yourself to me, to Greg Tucker, our 2010 President
and to all of our Officers and Board members. To be sure, we are here to help
you succeed! I personally look forward to meeting you soon!
