Issue 109 January 23

It was great to finally kick off our first meeting at our new home, Fogo De Chao at the Town Center (4784 Town Center Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32246). It was great to see some new as well as some old faces. There were some minor issues as expected being at a new venue but they will be addressed. Please RSVP on the SBMC website so we have an idea on how to properly address seating issues.

Last week we welcomed Nick Howland, who is running for the City At Large Group 3 seat. Nick briefly talked about his military career and his experience as a business leader and his involvement in the community through organizations like Firewatch. Nick was involved with the environmental protection board as well as the charter revision commission. It was also great to hear what his plans for Jacksonville are moving forward.

It was a big week as we also revealed SBMC’s new logos. What better way to bring us into our 90th year. A big thank you to Mary Fisher from Fisher Design and Advertising for volunteering her time and designing the new logos. This week we will welcome Terrance Freeman from the Jacksonville city council. Have a great week!
