Issue 133, July 10

This past week we had U.S. Congressman John Rutherford give us an update on what’s happening in Washington D.C. With the recent shootings, he highlighted the Stop School Violence Act. This is a two-part law that funds education and training and what signs to look for in behavior and how to properly report and keep track of individuals. Secondly, it focuses on crime prevention, preparing our schools in preventing crime through restructure and redesign of entrance and exit points. Rutherford talked about energy and how important it is for us to become energy independent once again. We then had an extended Q&A session.
This week we welcome our supervisor of elections, Mike Hogan who will give us an educational session on what’s on our ballot this year for both primaries and general elections, as well as how to properly read and record your vote. Tickets are still on sale for the Sharks Arena Football game on July 23rd. Get them HERE today! We are close to being sold out. See everyone Wednesday!
