Last week we welcomed former TV personality and comedian Bob Wiltfong, who gave an informative presentation on B.S. (business speak) in the workplace. Wiltfong began with how he would overhear his wife speak in business “code” to colleges. This made him decide to look into words and their origins. He decided that it was interesting enough to publish a book. He learned that sometimes words don’t mean what we may think and they might not be as offensive as we think to sports terms and their impact on business speak. Another takeaway is to always give credit to a good story whether it is true or not.
