We were pleased to have Hampton Ray from the Florida Department of Transportation as our guest speaker last week. We received a detailed synopsis of the new updates being made to our high traffic areas. 18 months from now, we are scheduled to have a new toll-based express lane system operated by SunPass to relieve pressure from the Buckman Bridge area and the the 9B/JTB route. Coupled with additional improvements, these updates will make vehicular travel easier for residents and guests alike.
