State Representative Cord Byrd paid a visit to our club last week and it was great to hear his take on the current issues that are affecting Florida, such as education funding, his opinion on Federal term limits, and disaster preparedness (hurricane season will be here before we know it!). Did you know that Florida has the highest credit rating amongst the other states? We always have time for Q&A at these meetings, so it’s a great opportunity to speak directly with our politicians and get your questions answered.
We’ve received a nice assortment of reds and whites for annual wine raffle. 31 bottles, to be exact. Tickets are now $10 and the drawing will be held at the end of the month. So, bring your favorite bottle to donate to our collection, then buy your ticket before May 30.
