At this week’s meeting we welcomed this year’s YAP awardees, Maria Eisman from University of Florida, Madison Gonzalez from University of Florida, Dariyn House from Florida State University and our JROTC award winner was Jada Peyton from Savannah State University. Miss Peyton was not able to join us to receive her award. We would like to congratulate all of the winners for their hard work that got them to this milestone of their educational achievements. We wish them the very best in their academic endeavors.

As I reflected on the many grants we have awarded over the years, $525,000 since starting, I can only think of how many young lives we helped to improve with our many gifts. With this thought in mind, lets forge ahead in our fundraising efforts to bolster this beautiful idea of improving young lives. I ask you to do what you can to help us raise funds at our Golf Tournament and Clay Shoot, the two largest events to put money towards the scholarship funds. Then we can continue to improve the lives of these youths in the Jacksonville area. Your efforts will not go unnoticed!
