We had Penny Kievet for our speaker this week, she is the Executive Director of the City Rescue Mission. She gave a lively talk about the tremendous progress they have made reducing the homeless population of Jacksonville by 50%. She explained in detail how their program is a long term process to reshape the lives of their residents. She said the last thing you should do is give them money!!
