We had a great meeting last week with Duval County Property Appraiser Jerry Holland. Jerry gave us the latest updates on homestead exemptions, calculating market values and the tax process to follow when renting a home. This office also employs a small team of investigators to minimize tax fraud in this sector.
At our last meeting, I announced that long-time member Crump Kirby suffered a heart attack over the weekend. He is currently in the ICU at Baptist Hospital. Please keep Crump and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
