Issue 48 December 10

We had a great meeting last week with Dr. Amber Oliveira from the DePaul School as our guest speaker. Dr. Oliveira gave us an overview of the school’s mission to educate children with dyslexia. We learned it is a very common learning difference that affects 1 in 5 students. The DePaul School faculty provide multi-sensory tracking, diagnostic teaching and repetitive techniques to ensure students with dyslexia succeed in the classroom.
We had such an awesome time at our annual Holiday Party!  The food was incredible and the dancing was so much fun!
Our speaker this week is Senator Aaron Bean. He’ll be hosting his annual “trivia day” for our club, which is always a lot of fun. This will be our last meeting of 2017. I hope you can make it!
See you Wednesday,
Julie Clements
