Last week we welcomed Melissa Nelson and Alan Mizrahi from the State Attorney’s office, who gave us an informative presentation on how the criminal justice system works and what our State’s Attorney is doing to make the system work better.
Additionally, we welcomed our scholarship recipients who told us how receiving the scholarship has impacted their lives and education.
If you missed the meeting you missed what I believe is one of the best meetings of the year. Did you know that the club gave $47,000 in scholarships this year bringing us to over $500,000 since we started the scholarship program? Getting involved in the upcoming golf tournament and clay shoot are great ways to support the scholarship program, in addition to being great events.
