Last week we welcomed Brett Martineau who spoke to us about his journey to becoming a sportscaster, the current sports landscape in Jacksonville, his views on making downtown Jacksonville a destination, and why local sportscasting works in Jacksonville when so many other cities have gone away from it. He also reminded us all that AM 690 is now our local ESPN radio affiliate and asked that we tune in and call with questions! If you aren’t aware, SBMC has a lot of events coming up this fall, starting this month, so check out our calendar and I hope to see you soon.
